Bradrod Building Services have the expertise to complete work on a wide array of building projects to thehighest of standards. Shown here is the roof of a 20 storey residential building, which we successfully built to replace the 40-year-old metal deck roof that was rusted and leaking.
Using a crane, we first removed the existing roof in sections. We then replaced the original wooden rafters with steel C-section purlins supported on steel support legs and graded to achieve a 1° pitch, ensuring the roof conformed to the building code. Next, we installed a new parapet wall around the outside of the roof and then re-sheeted the structure with new colour-bond roof decking. Finally, we altered and refitted the aluminium walkway and handrails to suit the new roof. We completed the job in 14 working days.
