Bradrod Building Services was established in 1977 by the late Bernard Mortimer. Originally focused on contract plant room maintenance, the business quickly gained a reputation for precision, reliability, and deep technical knowledge — especially in government settings. Under Bernard’s leadership, Bradrod expanded its capabilities into plumbing and building services, taking on increasingly complex projects across Victoria.

We’re proud of the team we’ve built — over 15 qualified tradespeople and a fulltime office support crew who take pride in honest, high-quality work. We work closely together, show up on time, and treat every job with the same level of care, whether it’s a large-scale upgrade or a quick emergency repair.

Andrew
Managing Director
Andrew holds a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering and began his career as a plumbing apprentice right here at BBS. Over the years, he’s developed extensive technical expertise and now leads our preventative maintenance division. Andrew specialises in Type B boiler servicing and is known for his methodical approach, deep industry knowledge, and commitment to long-term solutions. His mix of engineering insight and hands-on experience makes him an invaluable part of the team.
Josh
Director (CFO)
Josh started his journey with BBS as an mature aged apprentice and has grown with the business ever since. With over 20 years of plumbing experience and more than a decade as a director, Josh now oversees all of our response maintenance and large projects. He also specialises in hydronic heating systems and brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to every challenge. His deep understanding of how buildings work makes him a trusted leader for fast-paced, high-pressure jobs.
Jeff
Director
Like Josh, Jeff began his career as a BBS apprentice and has played a key role over the past two decades. Now a director with more than 20 years of plumbing experience, Jeff leads our work on complex mechanical systems. He also has extensive experience in steel fabrication, which plays a crucial role in many of our custom solutions. Jeff is known for his practical problem-solving, and commitment to getting the job done right.
Matt
Director
Matt has been plumbing for over 15 years and stepped into a director role five years ago. He now oversees our aged care and health sector projects, ensuring every service meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and care. Matt takes great pride in building long-term relationships with clients and is always looking for ways to improve how we work — not just in the quality of our service, but in how we support the people we work with every day.
